So I live an hour away from a comic book store in my area. I really want to go and buy some comics, but life gets in the way. I am constantly running into issues with my car, with the battery in my laptop, and I really don’t have the time to drive down a two-hour long road to get to my comic book store on a daily basis. I guess I should thank the ebay gods for my issues with my car and laptop!
Selling Comics Through Auction Sites –
The other day, I was talking to a fellow seller and he told me that if I were just going to go to one comic con, I could purchase all of my stock from any comic con. I had never thought about it before, but now I definitely recommend this approach. I love going to comic cons, because there is always something new to learn. The first time I went to a comic con, I purchased tons of new stuff!
A good idea for someone selling their comics through auction sites, is to create a space to display your wares, and make sure that you are displaying them in a very visible spot. I like to place them near the entrance to the convention. This way anyone who walks by will see my comics and know that they are worth something, and someone will be able to grab them and take them home.
Consider Selling Comics Is To Start Putting Together An Offer
The other thing I do is post my comics on eBay, so I can earn some extra cash. Now, this is not a bad thing at all, especially if you don’t have a lot of money to spend on comic books. Selling on eBay can be a great way to start earning some money. It is also a very good idea to start selling some of your older comics, which maybe don’t sell as well on auction sites.
An additional way to consider selling comics is to start putting together an offer. If you haven’t picked up any comic books recently, then it might not be a good idea to sell them right now. Why is this? Well, they are not going to fetch very much right now.
Pick Up A Few Issues Of A Popular Title
What I would recommend is to first pick up a few issues of a popular title, and then put them aside. Then, you should think about putting these comics in a binder, or a scrapbook. Now, once you have those in hand, then you could offer them up to sell. However, this is something that I recommend you do after you have sold a few issues. Why? Because I would personally feel more comfortable selling them to a collection of people, who actually enjoy reading comic books, instead of people who may only browse occasionally.
Another option that I would suggest is to use social media to market your comics. Now, this is a tactic that I recommend for a couple reasons. First of all, social media sites are great for letting you advertise your comic books in a way that is friendlier to you.
Also, you can use the various social media sites to announce when new issues of your comic book collection will be coming out. And finally, you can use this same social media site to let people know when you are having sales on any of your comics. That way, if they want an issue of a certain comic book but are too busy to go to your comic book store, they can simply purchase from their favorite social media site and then get it there on their own. All that’s left is to post a reminder on your Facebook page, or your Twitter feed, that you have issues of your comic books available for sale.
